Jason Allen Robert Jambor, 41 of Petersburg, MI, died Thursday, August 25, 2016, at Ebeid Hospice Residence. Born December 9, 1974, in Toledo, OH, he was the son of William A. and Linda A. (Herzig) Jambor. Jason was a 1994 graduate of Bedford High School, and then received his Associates of Criminal Justice from Washtenaw County Community College. He was employed as a correctional officer for the Correctional Treatment Facility in Toledo, OH for the past 14 years. Prior, he worked for the Monroe County and Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Department. Jason enjoyed helping with his mother’s business, Lynda’s Pony Rides, scuba diving, hunting, fishing and was passionate on obtaining his private pilot’s license. (He was almost done).
He is survived by his loving parents; Linda (Fred Smith) Jambor and William (Pat Weatherholt) Jambor; brother, Eric (Melissa) Jambor; sister, Paula (Terry) Brown; lifelong partner, Cheryl Haener; stepson, Cody (Crista) Haener; step-granddaughter, Jadeyn Marie Haener; nieces, Savanna Brown and Makenna Jambor; Aunts and Uncles, Otto (Bonnie) Herzig, Doris Appling, and Jim (Diane) Herzig, numerous other aunts and uncles, cousins and his 2 rescue dogs, Mason and Ruby. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Otto and Eleanor Herzig, William and Anna Jambor; Cousin, Michael Dean Herzig; uncle, Robert Jambor; aunt, Mary Ann Jambor and rescue dogs, Rocky and Johnny.
Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon-8 pm, Wednesday, August 31, 2016, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, September 1, 2016. Interment will follow at Whiteford Union Cemetery.
